The Big 5 Construct Kenya is the largest gathering of the construction professionals and the only event of this scale in the country. The event includes ample opportunities for local construction professionals to network, build relationships and source thousands of products from around the world.

For more than three decades The Big 5 has gone from strength to strength to evolve into the largest, most influential and renowned portfolio of construction industry events covering the FULL CONSTRUCTION CYCLE including building interiors, building materials and tools, concrete & PMV, HVAC-R, building services and much more. The Big 5 network now includes more than 300,000 suppliers and buyers of construction products from 120 countries worldwide. 

The exhibition is part of the National Construction Week – an initiative by the Kenyan government to develop the construction industry during the first week of November. Co-located with the exhibition is the National Construction Authority’s very own bi-annual conference – ICORCE. Attendees to the conference enjoy free access to the exhibition along with FREE CPD workshops on all days of the exhibition.

The successful industry leading China Trade Week (CTW) Portfolio connects local businesses with the most innovative Chinese firms, manufacturers, ICT providers and stakeholders. In support of China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) we provide a comprehensive framework for organising and managing multi-national economic development and trade platforms. CTW premiered in UAE in 2013 before launching in Africa (Kenya) in 2015. Since then there have been annual CTW events in both the Middle East and Africa, including Ethiopia, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Nigeria, UAE and Morocco.

The Nairobi Summit

From 12-14 November, the governments of Kenya
and Denmark and UNFPA co-convened the
Nairobi Summit on ICPD25, a high-level
conference to mobilize the political will and
financial commitments we urgently need to finally
and fully implement the ICPD Programme of
Action. These commitments were centred around
achieving zero unmet need for family planning
information and services, zero preventable
maternal deaths, and zero sexual and genderbased
violence and harmful practices against
women and girls.
The Summit aimed to bring everyone together:
heads of state, ministers, parliamentarians,
thought-leaders, technical experts, civil society
organizations, grassroots organizations, young
people, business and community leaders, faithbased
organizations, indigenous peoples,
international financial institutions, people with
